Marshall has launched a limited edition version of the Emberton Bluetooth speaker to mark its Diamond Jubilee. The gadget has a “Black Diamond” finish, swapping the brass elements usually found on the device, such as the logo and buttons, for black versions. The new speaker, celebrating 60 years since Marshall created its first amplifier, has many similar features to the original model.

For example, the Emberton has over 20 hours of playback time thanks to a lithium-ion battery. A 20-minute charge provides up to five hours of audio playback, and a full recharge takes around three hours. True Stereophonic technology provides a 360° audio experience, and the speaker has a frequency response from 60 to 20 kHz. With two 2-in 10 W drivers and two passive radiators, the stereo sound can read 87 dB SPL at 1 m (~3.3 ft). You can control the speaker with control on the top panel of the device, and you can pair a gadget via Bluetooth 5.0 from up to 10 m (~30 ft) away.

The product is rated as IPX7 water resistant and has a durable case, making it suitable for outdoor use. The portable device measures 68 x 160 x 76 mm (@2.68 x 6.30 x 2.99-in) and weighs 0.7 kg (~24.6 oz). You can currently purchase the limited-edition Marshall Emberton speaker for £159.99 (~US$177.37).
