A new speaker system from Harman Kardon is now available to pre-order in Europe, the Citation Multibeam 1100 Soundbar. This is the first model with Dolby Atmos and DTS:X for immersive 3D surround sound in the Citation series.

Harman Kardon has designed the speaker for streaming, with an HDMI eARC connection for ultra HD 4K pass through and automatic room calibration for an easy set-up. Harman Kardon’s PureVoice technology optimizes the sound tuning based on the content you are watching or listening to, ensuring speech is always clear.

According to the company, you can stream in HD from over 300 services via Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Apple AirPlay, Alexa multi-room music, and Google Chromecast built-in. The gadget is compatible with voice-assistant enabled speakers so that you can control it with voice commands.

The soundbar has 11 drivers in total, weighing 4.6 kg (~10.1 lbs) and measuring 115 x 6.5 x 13 cm (~45 x 2.6 x 5-in). The device is covered in wool fabric by Kvadrat, with aluminum details and an LCD touchscreen that tells you what is playing.

You can now pre-order the Citation Multibeam 1100 Soundbar in the EU and the UK in black or grey. The product is priced at €799 or £799 on several websites like Lufthansa’s WorldShop and Premium Sound.

Harman Kardon has not officially launched the gadget, though it did enter it into the 2021 Red Dot Design Awards. Sempre Audio speculates that the formal release will come in September at IFA 2022 Berlin, with the product launching shortly afterwards.
